Storage Conditions
Hot-dip galvanized cable ladder components should be stored in a dry, well-ventilated area prior to installation. Bundles should be elevated off the ground and slightly tilted to prevent stagnant water accumulation, which can lead to "white rust" (zinc hydroxide) formation.
Field Cutting and Protection
Cutting Tools: Use cold-cutting methods (band saws) rather than abrasive wheels to minimize heat damage to adjacent zinc coating.
Edge Treatment: Field cuts, drilled holes, or damaged areas must be coated immediately with zinc-rich cold galvanizing spray (≥90% zinc in dried film).
